Well damn, Jay Electronica is on a roll! He just dropped "The Announcement," his first song since signing with Roc Nation, and now he's unleashed "Shiny Suit Theory" - his collaboration with one Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. The track, which also features The-Dream, is classic Jay Elec - spitting that 5-percenter knowledge over a soulful loop (most famously used by Pete Rock for the "I Got A Love (Remix)"). Jay-Z delivers one of his best verses in a long time, spitting "How could this nappy-headed boy from the projects be the apple of America's obsession?" The most striking thing about this song is that it still has that classic hip-hop, Jay Elec sound even though it features The-Dream and Jay-Z - this bodes well for Electronica's upcoming Roc Nation debut album Act II, which is set to be released in 2011. With Jay-Z in his corner, there's really no telling what Jay Electronica can do now.
