Project The Underbelly leads to arrest!

We posted last week about the underground art installation that was bunkered underneath New York City. Apparently, the NYPD were following the story as well because they have arrested 20 people so far trying to enter the abandoned subway station.
It's no surprise that the hidden exhibit attracted urban explorers but the spelunkers might have been surprised when they had the pleasure of meeting a team of undercover police officers assigned by the city to monitor the site.
"This is not an art gallery; this is completely illegal," one officer told The New York Times, but "We have no intentions of disturbing the works," said Deirdre Parker, a spokeswoman for New York City Transit. They also have no plans to paint over the artwork even if they don't want anyone going down there.
